Our Past and Future

We are a brother and sister team who have been involved in the Serviced Office Industry for over 25 years. Our parents opened one of the first - what were then called Business Centres, in Northampton in 1979 and were actively involved in shaping the Industry as it is known today. We owned and ran City Executive Centres Ltd which was a serviced office company that set up and managed Serviced Offices for the benefit of landlords and investors. The company when it was sold to MWB Business Exchange in 2005 had 13 centres across the UK and was the only company of its kind. We were keen to return to the industry after expanding our skills and knowledge in other areas for a few years and Office Space in Town Ltd was opened in 2009. Caryl Fuchs opened our first serviced office in Northampton

The Fuchs were pioneers of the concept of serviced offices, launching City Executive Centres

May 2009

Office Space in Town Ltd formed

The company was opened for business

June 2009

We took over management of our first two centres

We took over the management of two centres one in Cardiff and one in Northampton

August 2009

Office Space Hemel Hempstead was opened

We took over the management of The Marlowes Business Centre in Hemel Hempstead for CBRE

November 2010

Office Space Aylesbury was opened

We took over the management of Midlands House Business Centre in Aylesbury for CBRE

January 2011

Office Space Euston opened

We opened our first London centre. Euston Tower with private investors. The centre filled so quickly that we doubled its size in June 2011 and the whole site has run at between 95 and 100% full ever since

March 2012

£36.5 million investment deal with Forum Partners

Forum and Office Space in Town opened LSO1 Ltd to buy buildings in Central London to refurbish and run as serviced offices

October 2012

Office Space Liverpool Street opened

We opened our first centre with Forum Partners at 46 New Broad Street, London after a substantial refurbishment

April 2013

Office Space St Paul's opened

We opened our second centre with Forum Partners at 20 Little Britain, London. This centre underwent a full refurbishment programme with our fit our partners Peldon Rose

June 2013

New Director Appointed

Sarah Singlehurst was appointed Director of Office Space in Town

January 2014

Office Space Waterloo opened

We opened our third Serviced Office with Forum Partners at 2-6 Boundary Row, Waterloo which was full within two months of opening

July 2014

New Director appointed

Julie Ward Owner of Aplus Accountants Ltd and Finance Manager for Office Space in Town since 2009 was made Finance Director

Tracey Holloway General Manager of our Cardiff centre was appointed to the Board of Directors

Office Space in Mayfair Opens

Our luxury serviced office in Mayfair will give our clients the professional and personal service they expect from us with the opulent luxury they could not find in any other serviced office

Office Space in Monument Opens

The opening of our largest serviced office on the banks of the Thames with a very nautical theme near Monument Tube Station

Our strategic plan is to continue to grow the number of centres that we have at a sustainable rate through the purchase of freeholds and long leaseholds predominantly in London. We are looking at buying buildings from 25,000 to 100,000 sq ft plus with our current and new investors. Our vision is to continue to provide boutique design led environments for our clients in key London locations which are finished to the highest standard. We will continue to disrupt the serviced office market by bringing new products and services to our buildings as we have done in the last five years. Ensuring that we are able to provide businesses property and service solutions that will sustain their businesses into the future
