As a family run business, we know how important a sense of community is to our wellbeing at work and at home. This is now more important than ever.

As we all face uncertainty in the coming months, we truly believe that the strong sense of family at the heart of our business will help us get through COVID-19 together.

Throughout the OSiT journey, we have chosen to partner with companies who share these values and we are proud to be working with our partner Telavox to put community at the heart of our work during COVID-19.

Telavox has worked with OSiT for many years, most recently providing telephony services at our Blackfriars office. When our Managing Director, Niki Fuchs reached out to Telavox during the early days of the pandemic, the company went above and beyond to help support her local community, Woodford Halse.

Since then, Telavox has extended their telephony services to the local group in Woodford Halse, providing the software, phone and video conferencing services that they need to connet with and support vulnerable people during this period of social distancing. Telavox has provided 15 licenses to the volunteer group, including video conferencing and up to 2,000 minutes of call time per volunteer.

Using the telephony system, the group is able to work collaboratively to keep in contact with the community, providing phone calls to people who might be feeling lonely or by helping people access the shopping, medication and resources that they need.

Niki Fuchs, Managing Director at OSiT said of the project: "The relationships we have built over the years not only enhance how we do business but also how we support our local communitites - a non-negotiable priority for OSiT. We are proud to work with partners who share OSiT's family values and want to help others in these uncertain times. The services that Telavox has so kindly provided have established the connectivity that a small community needs to support those most vulnerable at this unusual time."

Andrew Hamlett, Head of Technical Operations, UK at Telavox said: "It is great to be able to give back to the community and support the most vulnerable members of our society by providing our sevices to volunteer groups such as Woodford Halse. We are especially pleased to be able to collaborate with partners like Niki and the OSiT team, who truly value community, and provide a service that empowers the Woodford Halse volunteers to best help those in need."
