What does happiness mean to you? #HumansOfOSiT

The Oxford dictionary tells us that the definition of happiness is simply: “The state of being happy.”  Despite the simplicity of this definition, philosophers and psychologists have never quite been able to pin down what exactly it means to be ‘happy’.

The truth is, happiness is really subjective, personal to the individual.  Whether it’s spending time with family and friends, reading a book, listening to music, pursuing a much-loved hobby or travelling the world – happiness is a fluid concept.

Whatever it means to you, we believe that people should be happy in the place that they work. When we were brainstorming ideas for the design of our newest serviced office development, opening in June this year - Blackfriars @ 22 Tudor Street, we finally settled on the concept of happiness in all its forms. Our vision was to build a working environment that could both inspire and delight, bringing a smile to faces every day.  Many of the design features evoke memories of happy childhoods and the result is a wonderland of balloons, safaris, bug hunts, fairgrounds and even outer space!

At Office Space in Town, affectionally known as OSiT for short, we pride ourselves on our family-values people culture. To support the launch of our ‘happiness’ themed serviced office, we’ve taken a leaf out of the book of the now world famous  “Humans of New York"    campaign by asking the OSiT team what happiness means to them, and what makes OSiT such a great place to work.

We can’t wait for you to see what they shared with us. Stay tuned to our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts over the coming weeks. #HumansOfOSiT

We hope you’ll love our latest venture at Blackfriars - welcome to the home of happiness!
