Office Space in Town (OSiT) are set to launch our new fundraising challenge. Each year, OSiT choose a charity close to the hearts of our community and employees to support over the course of the year.

Our aim is to support smaller, more personal organisations whereby the trail of the money raised can be directly followed back to the beneficiaries of the cause. It is essential to see that every penny gathered goes to where it is supposed to, and that the rewards are tangible, valued and most importantly – beneficial.

Over £50,000 has been raised over the past 5 years for numerous OSiT charity appeals. The recipients range from families dealing with the effects of sudden-on-come disabilities, homeless shelters, companions of lunch clubs launched to combat loneliness and children’s hospitals.

For the 2020 Charity Appeal, Office Space in Town are aiming to raise £10,000 for Centre 404’s supported housing accommodations within Islington. The supported housing accommodation supports individuals and their families who live with severe learning disabilities, providing around the clock care and external assistance. They provide comprehensive and preventative information and advice, host regular workshops and weekly activities for all ages, give one to one support for both children and adults, maintain independent living options and can offer assistance to those seeking help with personal budgets. The organisation currently administer supported housing to over 30 residents over 10 locations; with a greater registered community of around 200. One of the permanent residents is a close relative of Gina Kazemi-Tabrizi, Operations Manager at our Monument centre.

Office Space in Town are fundraising to ensure Centre 404 can continue to play such an essential role in so many people’s lives without compromising their finances, while improving their communal environment for everyone to enjoy. The group have tasked themselves with gathering as many of their nearest and dearest, colleagues and acquaintances as possible to attend the home next year and complete the much-needed upgrades to this life changing space. The day should be an example of just how much OSiT and the community that surrounds them really do aim to achieve greatness beyond the walls of their offices.
