Meet The Founder of Office Space in Town: Giles Fuchs

In one of the latest editions of Just Entrepreneur - "Meet the Entrepreneur" Giles Fuchs, CEO of Office Space in Town talks about his motivations, the impact of technology on the sector, and shares his tips for young and budding entrepreneurs.

Giles highlights how Office Space in Town sets itself apart from other businesses in the flexible office industry through ownership of our buildings, exciting design, a flat management system – that ensures staff take responsibility and things get done quickly and well, and how this all feeds into excellent service, delivered by a great team.

He also considers the decision to give OSiT managers autonomy over their offices as a key contributor to building the business.

With regard to the impact technology will have on the flexible office industry in the future he noted that the majority of tech at OSiT related to conferencing, connectivity and client communications and therefore change is most likely to be seen in these areas, as new technology is developed and adopted, improving efficiencies and keeping people connected.

In terms of advice for other entrepreneurs he credits much of his success to networking. As well as having real belief in yourself and your ability to deliver - something instilled in him around the breakfast table by his parents (and perhaps fortunately not really understanding how hard it can be setting up your own business). However, linked to this is the need to understand that failure is part of life, but “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”.
