International Women's Day at OSiT

What does International Women’s Day mean to you?

For all of our team at OSiT, it’s an opportunity to reflect on the women who lift us up, inspire us and support us in all areas of our lives.

Find out what International Women’s Day means to us:

“As a woman I found that once I acted as if I could do it, I started to believe that I could do it, then I DID it.”

“Only listen to those that say you can, not to those that say you can’t.  You will find that you are happier around these people and more successful.   They aren’t always right but you will be better for trying.”

“Women’s biggest fear is fear itself.  Learn to embrace it as it means that you are challenging yourself and growing.”

- Niki Fuchs, Managing Director of Office Space in Town

“Commercial Property is a sector which is still heavily dominated by men. I felt for many year working in this industry that I didn’t always get the full respect that my male counterparts did.   It wasn’t until I joined OSiT, which has a disproportionally high women-to-men ratio, that I feel truly equal and my voice is heard.  I am inspired by all of the other women that I work alongside and am grateful for many of the younger generation who have not had to work in organisations where they have to fight to for equality and have only known OSiT.”

- Amelia Wooley

“For me it is a day to reflect on how far we have come and to be grateful for all of the brave women who have paved the way and opened up the opportunities that myself and other women have benefitted from in our day to day lives. OSiT has predominantly female employees from The Board of Directors right down to the Reception team. I have been lifted up, nurtured and developed by inspiring women throughout my career with OSiT over the last 7 years, and on International Women’s Day in particular, it is a great time to reflect on this experience and pay it forward by looking to the future and identifying opportunities to develop my all female team in their own career paths!”

- Georgia Green

“Working for a company that is predominantly female dominated in the senior departments inspires and encourages the younger women in our company to be more ambitious. International women's day is special to me because without the equality we now have we wouldn't have the opportunity to look up to such powerful female figures! Viva la revolution!”

- Sophie Rogers

“What International Women’s Day means to me is it gives us the opportunity to encourage all Women to be a more determined and to realise that there’s nothing that we can’t achieve.”

- Sam Saunders

“International Women’s day to me is a reminder that every woman’s success should be an inspiration to another. We’re strongest when we cheer each other on.”

- Gina Kazemi-Tabrizi

“International Women’s Day is important to me because it allows us to celebrate and recognise the strong, powerful and amazing queens we have in our life.”

- Hannah Daly

“What International Women’s Day means to me is a recognition of all women who through their courage, determination and hard work have shattered barriers and inspired women to live out their dreams.”

- Rif Yusuf

“To me, International Women's Day highlights the fight for women's rights and in particular for the reduction of inequalities in relation to men as well as girls’ right to education.”

- Laura

“Celebrating every woman’s success and being an inspiration to one another.”

- Lisa Mumford
