After an extended period of time where we have been told to stay indoors, protect the NHS and save lives, returning to the office and changing our behaviour patterns won’t necessarily be easy. Many people will be concerned, even anxious about the thought of returning to work, their commute and integrating with colleagues.
The OSiT team is here to help ease the transition back to the office and to help our clients and staff feel confident as they return to work.
So, how are we doing this?
Our serviced offices already enable our clients to work in relative self-isolation, with all offices contained and not within large open plan areas. In all but one centre, we are the sole occupiers of our buildings. This means that we can manage all areas, including entry. We also do not provide any co-working spaces for non-resident clients, meaning we can adapt and change how things work to reflect government guidelines quickly.
We have been planning how we can help our clients and their staff return to work with confidence, knowing that when you leave your home to come to work, you will be entering an area which is safe. We are proud to share that all of our sites have now been certified ‘Good to Go’ – the official UK mark to signal that a hospitality business has worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
Below you will find a list of the measures that we have put in place across our centres, so you can return to the office with confidence:
- You will find signage throughout our buildings which will make social distancing easy to understand and respect
- We are introducing procedures to minimise contact in communal areas such as; one way systems, up and down stair ways, only upper floor tenants to be able to use the lifts, minimising numbers in lifts etc
- We are adding many more sanitation points throughout our buildings at high-density touch points
- We are installing sneeze screens in our reception areas
- We will review our opening hours to assist our clients working more flexible hours to avoid rush hour commuting
- We will be using an anti-viral fogging system in our communal areas once a month
- We will continue with the additional cleaning rotation that we introduced prior to lockdown
- Where we can, we will provide additional areas for bike storage to accommodate the increase in cyclists during this time
- We are offering eco-friendly desk screens to clients
